The first Outback was sold in September 1994 as a trim package for Legacy wagon. Six generations later, the “World’s First Sport Utility Wagon” has become an icon for adventure.
Subaru of America celebrated by showcasing the first-generation Outback next to the 2025 Outback for employees and visitors at our HQ lobby.
